There are a number of local initiatives to free up space and reduce waiting times at the local Eye Hospital Departments, and we participate in these. Suitability is dependent on your address but can include the following:
- Glaucoma monitoring and treatment
- Pre and post cataract operation checks
- Management of ingrowing eyelashes
- Management of Dry Eye including Blepharitis or Meibomian Gland dysfunction
- Visual disturbance investigations
- Sore or Red eye management
- Neuro-Ophthalmology assessments
When required there is a telemedicine computer link directly to a Consultant Eye Surgeon for an opinion, allowing rapid access to hospital treatment if needed.
